Happy New Year! Thank you for joining us in kicking off 2026 with good wine and good company. Winter is a quieter time at the winery with wines aging
and awaiting bottling, and the vineyards are dormant for the season. This fall we had some nice rain after the grapes were all picked and the vines still had some good leaf set. This rain will help our upcoming 2026 growing season. One of the advantages of our Tasting Room location in downtown Philomath is that we can stay open for you throughout the winter season. Visit us for a cozy weekend wine gathering with friends and family and use your club member benefits (30% off bottles enjoyed at the winery is an especially great one). Thanks to the awesome team at Birdie’s Pizza, you can even order the best pizza in town delivered to the winery.
We have put together a lovely winter wine club release for you with new wines and familiar favorites. New red selections are the 2023 vintage of our most popular Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, as well as the new 3 Pigs Red Blend (version 2.0). We brought back Croft Pinot Noir for our 2 bottle club members to enjoy. White wine lovers delight in the new 2024 vintage of Rose of Pinot Noir, and the 2023 vintage of Mary’s Peak Vineyard Riesling. Both were small lots reserved for Club members first. We also saved you the last of our inaugural vintage of traditional method sparkling wine, gold medal winning 2019 Brut. You probably need at least one more bottle of Brut after New Year’s Eve. The next vintage of Sparkling Brut has been aging for five years and will be here soon after we have the time to hand-label a few thousand bottles! READ THE FULL NEWS

THE WINES
Winter 2026 Wine Club Selections
Sparkling Brut, 2019 – 90 Rating, Gold Medal Newport Seafood & Wine Festival
(2 Mix & 6 Mix Clubs)
There’s no need to wait for a special occasion to enjoy our elegant Brut. Sparkling goes with everything! Compton Brut is made with old vine Pinot Noir from Mary’s Peak Vineyard and old vine 108 clone Chardonnay from Hoot & Howl Vineyard in Philomath, Oregon, in the traditional method of sparkling wine making: a slow, elegant transformation from still wine to sparkling, all occurring inside the bottle.
Rosé of Pinot Noir, 2024 – NEW (6 Mix Club)
“Rosé all day” is more like “Rosé all year” around here. Enjoy your Rosé at a slightly warmer temperature when serving in the colder months. We always harvest our Pinot Noir earlier in the season for Rosé and sparkling wines to balance refreshing acidity with lush fruit flavors.
Mary’s Peak Vineyard Riesling, 2023 – NEW (6 Mix Club)
Riesling is Matt’s favorite white wine, and this 2023 vintage is extra special because it is the last vintage of old-vine Riesling from Mary’s Peak Vineyard. We called it an “Off-off dry”, with just a hint of residual sugar balancing that racy acidity Riesling lovers crave.
Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, 2023 – NEW (All Clubs)
Introducing the new vintage of our flagship Garden Series Pinot Noir. We produce each vineyard separately in small 1.5 ton fermenters with manual punch downs of the caps two times a day during fermentation. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for 10 months before blending and bottling. A delicious Pinot Noir that can be enjoyed any day of the week.
Croft Vineyard Pinot Noir, 2022 – 92 Rating (2 Red, 6 Mix & 6 Red Clubs)
Organically grown 100% Pinot Noir clones including Pommard, Wädenswil,115, 777 and 667 from seven small, dry farmed vineyards located in the heart of the Willamette Valley.
3 Pigs Red Blend II – NEW (6 Red Club)
The latest vintage of our 3 Pigs Red blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tempranillo, all locally grown in our Willamette Valley A.V.A. The three pigs on the label are tribute to the first kunekune pigs on the Compton farm.
