2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

35 year old Cabernet vines from Hoot & Howl Vineyard in Philomath Oregon just 3 miles from Gathering Together Farms. The Vineyard site used to be named Bellfountain Vineyard. The Compton family has leased this vineyard site for over 6 years. Our winemaker and grower Matt Compton brought the vineyard back to life. Being a Willamette Valley grown Cabernet gives the wine nice dark fruit flavors and a really nice acidity that you don’t typically get in Cabs. Lighter style than a more typical Cab makes for a wine that goes well with many type of foods.
